NailTite™ NT-100 Super Seal Low Expanding Foam Sealant
NailTite NT-100 Super Seal Low Expanding Foam Sealant is a professional-quality, moisture-curing polyurethane foam that seals, insulates, sound-deadens, and bonds many common building materials. It also fills gaps around doors, windows, wall corners, outlets and more in new and retrofit construction. Designed for use by the professional with a NailTite™ Gun Applicator.
Surface Preparation and Installation
Surfaces should be free of dust, oil, grease, frost, and loose debris, which may impair bond. Dampness will not impair bond. For maximum yield the temperature of the NT-100 container should be 20°C (70°F). Minimum application temperature is 5°C (38°F). Colder temperatures lengthen curing time but will not affect the NT-100 properties when fully cured.
When applying NT-100 follow the instructions on the container. Fill gaps, cracks and holes with the sealant, making allowance for post expansion (fill cavities to 30% of volume). Multiple layers may be necessary in large cavities with successive layers being allowed to expand and cure before the next layer is applied. Curing may be accelerated by spray misting the surrounding surface with water prior to application of the foam. Avoid insertion into small tubular sections comprised of non-porous materials. If concerned about bowing of light-weight frames, provide temporary bracing before application of foam.
Contents under pressure. Do not place in hot water or near radiators, stoves or other sources of heat. Do not puncture or incinerate container or store at temperatures over 49°C (120°F). Keep out of reach of children. Do not leave container in a closed area such as a motor vehicle, especially in the summer heat.
Non-toxic under normal conditions. Treat as a mild irritant to skin. Flush eyes with water and see a physician. Product contains polymeric diisocyanate.
Shelf-Life and Storage
NT-100 is an aerosol material and must be kept below 49°C (120°F). Notice to purchaser: NT-100 is guaranteed to conform to product specifications, if used by the expiry date imprinted on each aerosol container (18 months after manufacture).
The consumer shall satisfy themselves of the suitability of this product for the intended purpose. Weather, applicator's skill and surface conditions are beyond manufacturer's control. We, therefore, limit our liability to replacement of defective material only, within one year of proof of purchase.
