Suggested Uses

Heavy Duty Acoustical Sealant is specially formulated to adhere most common vapor barrier materials to wood, metal and concrete. It can also help reduce sound transmission. Joint size should not exceed 20mm (3/4”) wide by 13mm (1/2”) deep. This product is recommended to be used in concealed areas.

Application

Surface must be clean and dry. Cut the spout at a 45° angle to desired bead size and puncture seal inside of spout. Apply with caulking gun in beads of 6mm (1/4”) around panels or wood plates, electrical boxes etc., and then press substrate firmly into place. Use between 5°C (40°F) and 30°C (85°F). Note: It is normal for the compound to accumulate dirt as it does not fully dry. Dirt retention will not affect the functional performance of this product.

Cleaning/Disposal

Clean-up with mineral spirits. Dispose in an approved hazardous waste facility.

Coverage

Approximately 25m (82 lineal feet) of a 6mm (1/4”) bead.
