Black Knight^® Depression Filler combines a rugged asphalt blend of special liquids and adhesives combined with crushed and carefully graded aggregates to create an interlocking action, binding itself to any firm surface. This unique product is designed to repair depressions, cracks and expansion joints in asphalt surfaces.

Application

Sweep the area free of dirt, dust and debris. Scrub ground in dirt with BK Asphalt Cleaner. Prime the area you are repairing with BKDF Primer (included inside the pail). On rough surfaces, the primer should be scrubbed into the damaged area with a stiff brush to wet the entire surface. The primer should become tacky before the BKDF is applied.

Repairing Depressions

Apply BKDF to the depression in the 1/4” to 1/2” thicknesses with tamper or drive over patch several times to fully compact. You can not over compact. If patch seems soft it needs more compaction. BKDF instantly allows foot and car traffic with no drying time.

Repairing Cracks and Expansion Joints

Remove dust, dirt and debris by sweeping out the damaged area. Brush the primer into the damaged area ensuring the entire surface has been primed. Compact BKDF in 2” (5cm) increments. BKDF should be leveled and ready for use after heavy compression. BKDF can be sealed 90 days after the repair with BKDS.

Apply temperatures above 50F (12C)

Coverage

22lb (10Kg) will spread over 12 sq.ft X 1/4 in before compacting.

Clean-Up

Easy clean-up with soap and water or mineral spirits.

The consumer shall satisfy themselves of the suitability of this product for the intended purpose. Weather, applicator's skill and surface conditions are beyond manufacturer's control. We, therefore, limit our liability to replacement of defective material only, within one year of proof of purchase.
